New at CBS and having trouble getting online? CBS now uses Eduroam, a global network for universities that will enable you to get online at any participating university with your CBS credentials. (EduRoam = EducationRoaming... Get it?) Other universities I've attended that use Eduroam include Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) and Católica-Lisbon, but the list is much, much longer.

Getting online on Eduroam - the quick and easy guide

It's not difficult to get online on Eduroam once you know how.

1) Select the network from the WiFi list

2) Enter your entire CBS student email as username, using the following format: [yourusername]@student.cbs.dk, and use your current CBS password. Leave "Mode" to Automatic and keep "Remember this network" checked.

3) If it's your first time connecting to an Eduroam network you might be asked to accept the network certificate using your Mac OSX credentials.

Now you're all done! It might take a little while to connect the first time (around a minute), so be patient.

You're now online!

Troubleshooting

If you get any strange error messages or it simply does not work (perhaps you're not asked for your credentials at all), make sure you haven't tried to add an Eduroam network before. If you have, delete it from the list of Preferred networks. Go to the Network Preferences, click Advanced, select eduroam from the list and click the minus button.

Make sure you click Apply. If you still experience problems, try to restart your Mac and try again.
