My Final Avatar

Building a brand online is hard. Very hard. Most people you interact with have never met you in person. They have no idea who you are. What they see is your name. Maybe a Twitter handle. But that's not how they start recognizing you. It starts with your profile picture. Your avatar. That leads me to the most important rules of being memorable online: Be consistent Stand out Consistency is important....

"How I fixed Youtube!" aka "Youtube finally working with Google Apps in Scandinavia!"

Okay, I didn't really fix Youtube myself, however I did alert Google about an issue plaguing a lot of Google Apps users, me included. When I first started out with Google Apps some 3 or 4 years ago the service didn't support all of Google's services. It didn't take long before most of them were fully functional, and when Google+ finally became available for Apps users after a lengthy delay, all important Google services had finally become available for Apps users....

New Year, New Goals

2013 is finally here. And after a year with almost no exercice (due to a severe case of runner’s knee), unhealthy eating, and irregular sleeping habits, I’ve decided to get a better start in the new year. I just arrived back in Copenhagen yesterday, and today I dragged myself out of bed at 6.40 am (earlier than any day last semester), got my running gear on and tried my first guerrilla cardio training in years....

Video: Pet Connect at Startup Weekend

I was a part of the winning team at StartupWeekend Copenhagen, PetConnect. Since we won the event we had to create a 90 sec video that would represent us in the global StartupBattle in a very short time. Enjoy!

Importance of Selling Your Vision in Lean Startups

An important success factor when running a Lean Startup is your ability to pivot when you discover key information about your business. As a general rule you can expect that your original product idea is not what potential customers want. Hopefully you will be able to discover what they really want, and then do a successful pivot. As you probably know, a pivot is when your startup has to abandon its whole or at least parts of its product, but still being true to the original vision....

moov goes moo

I just ordered a few business cards for moov.co (my somewhat stealthy startup-project). I decided to get them from moo.com, since I've been happy with the cards I've gotten from them before. Take a look at the design: What do you think? Anyways, if you need any cards for your business, startup, or just to enhance your networking, you should also check out moo. They let you order in small quantities (from only 50 cards, vs the industry standard of 250 cards), and you get to pick different designs for the back of the cards if you want to....

Born to Run

I just finished reading the book "Born to Run" by Christopher McDougall, and I must say that it's one of the most inspiring books I've read in a long time. It's a tale about the Tarahumara indians, great ultra marathoners and self improvement. It also supports the claim that most of the ailments we normally associate with running actually can be blamed on the cushioned running shoes that taught us to run incorrectly....

Link: Join me at the SF Marathon

Join me at the SF Marathon on Jul 29 2012 » I signed up for the second half marathon today, and I think you should join as well! As I mentioned earlier, my goal is to run this one barefoot. If you want a $10 discount on the registration fee of the San Francisco Marathon, let me know. I have a coupon code for my friends :) Best,...

My First Barefoot Run

I don't remember exactly when I first heard about barefoot running, but some time ago I decided to try. As I currently live in the most rainy city of Europe (Bergen) I figured I should wait until I move to San Francisco this summer. When I mentioned to Nir Eyal that I wanted to try (he's a barefoot runner himself), he immediately sent me this book: I plan to participate in the San Francisco Marathon this summer (or at least the half marathon), but I've had some serious knee problems the last couple of weeks when trying to intensify my running, something that barefoot running allegedly will make a thing of the past....
